Portsmouth, NH- Join A Safe Place in breaking the cycle of domestic and dating violence by volunteering. A Safe Place hosts one hour orientations throughout the year for anyone interested in volunteering to help end the cycle of domestic abuse. Call our administrative office at 603-436-4619 ext. 14 for the date of our next orientation.
Becoming a Volunteer at A Safe Place is a commitment of time, talent and energy. We ask for a commitment of one-year following the training. Volunteers can really make a difference in the lives of victims and are a tremendous help in assisting staff. We encourage people of all walks of life, women and men, to apply to volunteer.
Volunteer opportunities are available in many different areas such as direct service with survivors of domestic abuse, fundraising & event planning, education & outreach, & administrative support. We will provide all needed training and support. A Safe Place will hold our next 30-hour training in the Fall for community members interested in direct service with survivors. We are looking for people who can help during the day in Rochester and Salem especially.
