Help Break the Cycle of Abuse

Become a volunteer with A Safe Place

Portsmouth, NH- Join A Safe Place in breaking the cycle of domestic and dating violence by volunteering.

Becoming a Volunteer at A Safe Place is a commitment of time, talent and energy. We ask for a commitment of one-year following the training. Volunteers can really make a difference in the lives of victims and are a tremendous help in assisting staff. We encourage people of all walks of life, women and men, to apply to volunteer.

Volunteer opportunities are available in many different areas such as direct service with survivors of domestic abuse, fundraising & event planning, education & outreach, & administrative support. We will provide all needed training and support. A Safe Place will hold its next 30-hour training starting February 6th for community members interested in direct service with survivors. We are looking for people who can help during the day in Rochester and Salem especially.

If you are interested in making a difference in the community, please call Lisa, Director of Client Services at 603.436.4619 x12 for more information and directions to the orientation.
