Safety Planning
One of the ways in which victims of domestic abuse can feel ownership of their lives and gain a sense of control is to devise a safety plan. This simple list can help you to feel a sense of preparedness and ability to deal with unsafe or inappropriate situations that could occur. A safety plan is a recommended procedure for a person currently involved in an abusive relationship, one who has decided to leave their partner, or one who has already left.
Things to keep in mind when safety planning to leave an abusive relationship.
